After a long and winding drive up Trail Creek Road out of Ketchum, Idaho, we arrived at the trailhead for Summit Creek. It begins at 8,00 feet and climbs 1400 feet in elevation. It was hot, upper 80’s, in the valley so the mountain air felt cool and refreshing to all of us.

The narrow trail winds through woods and meadows filled with wildflowers. The sights and sounds of the rushing mountain stream were refreshing.
