| Riding Camp - May, 2006 |
| Despite record-breaking rainfall in Idaho and Montana this spring, those who braved the elements were happy this camp hosted at Cookie Grimes' place in Victor. |

Blaz' n Begging
You can see from Linda's dress that the first day of our camp in Montana was wet and cold. We were grateful to have Cookie's indoor round pen for shelter. The viewing window appears as a concession stand to the horses who always check to see if anyone is handing out treats. |
Newest Addition
This one-month-old miniature donkey brightened even the dreariest of days for us. Cute barely begins to describe this little guy and watching him buck and play was worth the trip to Montana even with the weather. |

Jules & Red
I am ever grateful for Linda's generous use of Big Red as a school horse. He's blossomed from a nonchalant ranch horse into an opinionated philosopher. He does only what is necessary and exactly what is requested. This can be very frustrating for riders, but he will give his all when riders are correct in their requests. |
Water? Walk This Way!
The second day saw a break in the weather that allowed for some schooling over a narrow ditch with rushing water. The horses preferred the casual approach, grazing their way into the challenge. |

Dick & Bandit
Dick plays casual so as to illicit an unperturbed response to the flag from Bandit. Bandit was none too sure of this flag thing in the beginning. |
Smokey Shows Off
Once the prospect of being a parade horse was dangled in front of smokey, he not only carried the flag proudly, he put his feet on everything available and grinned ear to ear. He also thought Linda's horse cookies were well worth working for. |
